UNDP South Africa is on the hunt for a creative and seasoned partner to spearhead the Digital Innovation for Modernizing the Informal Economy (DIME) Project. This initiative is set to digitally revamp 15,000 spaza shops located in Gauteng townships.

The UNDP South Africa's Digital Innovation for Modernizing the Informal Economy (DIME) Project is focused on boosting the efficiency, market reach, and compliance of small businesses through digital advancements.

The ideal candidate will take charge of executing a detailed strategy that involves digitally registering spaza shops to facilitate their formalization and financial inclusion. They will also introduce e-commerce platforms to broaden market access and enhance sales opportunities. Furthermore, the project will implement smart compliance systems to help spaza shops meet regulatory standards and support sustainable growth.
